KONMARIE!

It's already fairly decluttered, although I will probably donate a few more things in the process. I think I've figured out how I want the schoolroom/playroom set up, but in order to get it how I want it, I need to upgrade some furniture. I might have to go back to the casino to pay for it. ðŸ˜

:svengo: Jean is NOT a slacker. Window washing? Are we supposed to do that?

Right now we are having an influx of these horrible extra large midges that die in our windows. I don't know if Jean has to vacuum her windows (like, between the window and the screen) but we do! We do not keep an extra clean house but those flies somehow get in between windows when we open the window even a crack, then up and die in there. It's just so, so gross.

:seeya:

I tried to go to church this morning.  We got about a mile down the road before dh decided that my migraine should keep me at home today.  I was trying to tough it out, but he made the right decision.

I wanted to go to church this evening, but I was so light sensitive this afternoon that even my (very dark) sunglasses would not have been enough.

So, I have enjoyed a lot of peace and quiet today.  :)

Since I wasn't feeling really, really bad, I was able to get quite a bit of school prep done.  My three high schoolers have to each write a biography report on a person who is deaf to finish out our ASL class.  I fought with the printer and got a bunch of internet articles printed out for them.  I was originally going to have them print their own, but tomorrow is going to be crazy and having three of them fighting over the computer and printer is not something that I want to listen to.  :smash:  :smash:  :smash:

So we heard earlier that FIL started talking crazy and was running a fever around midnight last night, so MIL called an ambulance to take them to the hospital (an hour away). He's had blood and urine taken and they are planning to give him an MRI in the morning. :svengo: It seems he is doing better now - still running a fever, but is coherent. (wish they would leave that mountain!)

We all pitch in and have a clean up day at our church about 3x a year. Today was one of those days. We aren’t doing the normal maintenance cleaning but deeper cleaning including windows. But only the inside windows because no one can figure out how to clean the outsides without killing ourselves. Some people decluttered old paperwork. Some were having fun with my Dh’s new pole saw. I actually get to know people a lot more working next to them than I do making small talk over coffee. Edited by Jean in Newcastle

Crane flies? We get those, but later in the spring. Sometimes my DH calls them gallinippers.

As an aside, you probably wouldn't want to see some of the windows in my house at the end of the summer. We fill up with June bugs...

We get crane flies in the summer. But every kid I know calls them mosquito-eaters. Although I have no idea why.  They don't eat mosquitoes as far as I know. And we get June bugs. I hate June bugs with a passion. They just cling to you. They are so gross.

Good Monday Morning!

(((Susan's FIL)))

(((Ikslo)))

(((Junie)))

(((Jean)))

We left dd's swim parka at the meet.  An hour+ away.   :crying:  :crying:  :crying:   It has her name and team embroidered on it, but I think the odds of getting it back are pretty slim.   :crying:

I liked Imager! I read all of his Recluse series also.

Imager got a very good in my notes. I'm putting it down to come back and read again if I'm forced to convert a third person POV into a first. I would have liked to see the main character more conflicted, and I wanted a little more heat in the romance arc. But it was a good story, and I'm tempted to try another book by the same author. Not a "got-to-have-the-sequel-yesterday" kind of tempted, but certainly a "let-me-see-what's-on-the-library-shelf-next-weekend" kind of tempted.

Dd7 is doing some random workbook that we found when we were cleaning out a cabinet.

The page she is working on now is teaching "now and then".  One of the examples is washing machine/hand washing clothing.  Dd10 just interjected that some people might still hand wash clothing, so it is not truly a "then".

Didn't we just discuss this last week?  :)

The Imager series has 11? books. I have also read the Corean Chronicles and Spellsong series. I didn’t like those. We used to own the entire Saga of Recluse, but it didn’t make the move. Fall of Angels and Magic of Recluse are probably my two favorites from that (non-sequential) series.

I don't know that our library has a single complete series of anything.
