Rivka
From my 5-year-old: "Mom, I think these Level 2 books are right for me, because, see, it says, "Level 2 books are perfect for kids who are ready for longer sentences and more complex vocabulary. New words are defined on the page, but occasional adult help might be welcome." Uh, son? That text was aimed at the parents of Level 2 readers. Dmmetler
My DD had a meltdown at the park once because a sticker on the equipment read "recommended for ages 5-12"--and she wasn't 3 yet!
Jackie
I'm continuously grateful that my strong reader isn't very observant. She noted the "level 2" description on the books a while back and gave a similar reaction to Rivka's son. But she's such a rule-follower that if she noted the age on some of the games she plays, she'd probably demand they be shelved for the next four years. Kerileanne99
Dd today was working through some problems in BA...after throwing a fit because when I brought the book out it has a 4 on it. She angrily and tearfully informed me that as of a full 36 hours ago she was FIVE years old, not FOUR! And could she please have the proper big girl book😖 Geez. She finally calmed down when I told her she could write an email to BA and ask them to please speed up production to match her chronologically:)

She was 6, not 5, darn it!
