Cera 1,027
As a spin off of my cruise newbie thread... Any suggestions for easy, relaxing vacations that would be low stress for the parents and fun for the kids? All inclusive resorts, great island hotels? etc We are in the mid atlantic and want to do a trip for the kids big christmas gift this year. We were thinking about trying a cruise but looking at the prices for 6 of us (4 kids) we might do better to go on a land based vacation...caribbean, bahamas, mexico, south america, etc. Just think relaxing for us and fun for the kids. Thanks!
PeterPan 30,882
Have you thought about renting an RV and driving somewhere? You can also fly to a destination, like Arizona, and then rent an RV for a week or whatever you want. We did Alaska this way for two weeks and our friends did the Grand Canyon. fraidycat 11,051
My sis and I just got back from an all-inclusive resort wedding in the Riviera Maya. I'm already plotting a return or any other place that is all-includive with hubby and kids for some time after DH returns from deployment. The all-inclusive part just made it so easy! trinchick 654
We've done all inclusives in the Dominican Republic a couple of times, and they were great. We stayed at the Catalonia Grand Bavaro in Punta Cana for a week, and then the Iberostar in Punta Cana for 2 weeks. Relaxing, fun vacations.
