Recent favorites of mine have been: The Interestings, Meg Wolitzer A Tale for the Time Being, Ruth Ozeki Fangirl, Rainbow Rowell Landline, Rainbow Rowell Mad, Wicked Folly, Sharon Biggs Waller A couple of those are marketed as young adult books, but I enjoyed them a lot. I can't vouch for it personally, but I heard a clip of it on NPR last week, and the reviewer was raving over it. My favorite audiobook is To Kill a Mockingbird, read by Sissy Spacek.
