Keniki
Our water tests safe(well water), but there's been a lot of cancer in our neighborhood over the years, so we've been buying reverse osmosis water at the store (from the machine -- fill your 5 gallon jug for .39 per gallon) for several years as a 'safety'. We aren't getting any younger, and we're getting tired of hauling 5 gallon jugs to and from the store. We've been thinking of getting a reverse osmosis system for under the kitchen sink, but since we aren't getting any younger, I wonder how long we're going to like diving under the sink to change the filters. Then I started thinking about the countertop models and/or the pitchers that just do a gallon or so at a time. Can anyone give me any advice on all of this? I've tried looking at Consumer Reports and Amazon for reviews, but it starts all mush together, and I'm not even sure which KIND I want, so how do I research it? Sigh. Can anyone help me? milovany
We use a Berkey and they get *great* reviews. They're expensive, but we bought the smallest Travel Berkey for our family of nine and it's just fine. We just fill it a couple of times a day.
