mo2
My daughter wants a nightgown--one of those old-fashioned ones that covers you pretty much from head to toe. :001_huh: Where can I find one?
Guest
American Girl has an adorable one for Samantha that has been made for girls, too. It's pricey, but I love it.
cstitches
If you sew, or know someone who does, I imagine you could find a pattern and make one.
bkpan
I have purchased them for my dd at Dillards and usually you can find a little better selection around Christmas, especially at the nicer stores. I do get frustrated as well at the pitiful selection. HTH
In The Great White North
I got dd's at LLBean
Faithseed
Penny's had some last year- long sleeved flannel. The LLBean ones are super warm and feel so so good- they've been our favorites so far. I made our girls some summer ones this year out of older sheets. I used a blouse pattern that had elastic for the neckline- one of the cheaper patterns. I cut the bodice a little shorter, added the skirt with a deep hem. They feel like princesses in them, and will easily last 2 years. Would have been more if I had planned the arms a little better. They especially like how cool and breezy they are. My girls have protested against nightgowns in the winter times. They both kick their covers off, so they do need that extra warmth. I miss it, though- they look so cute in flannel nightgowns!

paula j
You can get a pattern very similar to the American Girl one, they also have a pattern for the dolls nightie. I made several of these for dd and her doll when she was little and they always seem to have flannel cheap at wal-mart so they never cost more than 5 or 6 dollars including eyelet lace and buttons. Her favorite one was pink and white striped with flowers on the white stripes.
Desert Rat
I've seen them at JC Penneys and LL Bean catalog. Shouldn't be hard to find. I don't like them personally but I got one for Christmas a few years back.
