mom31257
I've always felt unsure in grading dd's' writing. Grading writing is so subjective, and I'm a math girl. This has left me wondering if I've even done a half-way decent job of preparing dd for writing in college. Well....she's doing Composition and Rhetoric through dual enrollment, and she just got a 100 on her essay this week. Woohoo!!!!!
G5052
Yes, dual enrollment can be such a confirmation that you've done OK. Mine are still doing writing with me, but my oldest has aced everything he's done via dual enrollment, even online college Spanish. Whew! :hurray:
Sunshine State Sue
Congrats. I can relate to the relief of a math girl. I myself avoided writing like the plague. And I provided ds with a much stronger LA foundation than I ever had. Thanks, in part, to SWB and these boards.
