milovany
I've purchased the $20 jobbies and am tired have having to replace them after a year or two. Are there any that will last longer than that, and that will stand up to a lot of regular use, especially during applesauce-making season? (Which is upon us.) derbygirl
The Bamix is the best I have ever used. Very expensive though.

Sara in AZ
My Kitchenaide has been a pretty good workhorse and wasn't crazy expensive. And I use it a lot.
umsami
I've had good luck with my Cuisinart… even took off part of my thumb with it many moons ago. I've had it for 11 or 12 years now. BUT, it is used 2-3 times per week. I'm not sure if that counts as heavy use.
justasque
I have a Cuisinart one that wasn't cheap but didn't break the bank either. I've been happy with it.

Luckymama
My inlaws gave me a Cuisinart for Christmas last year, the best present they have ever given me! (Dh may have strongly suggested it ;))
Cindy in FL.
I have a stainless steel Cuisinart that I really like.
UncleEJ
I have a Cuisinart one that I got at Costco. I also attaches to a mini-food processes and a whisk. I really like it. At first I thought the extra attachments were silly but I use them both all the time. The whisk whips cream or egg white way faster than my stand mixer. Cera
Bamix, hands down.
ocelotmom
After reading this thread, I find myself dissatisfied with my current immersion blender. The blender itself is fine, but it would be so nice to have something with a whisk! I could make meringues all the time!
