Mynyel
My nemesis. My Achilles heel. I can't find a curricula that I like. I have found books that look promising but no reviews. Is there a comprehensive timeline anywhere that I can use to piece it together myself? I know there are things I will forget. You know like the Revolutionary War or the Salem Witch Trials. Seriously though. I need something that tells even little things. Anything? :)
Lang Syne Boardie
Try Joy Hakim's "A History of US." Hewitt Homeschooling has a syllabus and tests. You can find this in a 10 vol. set, but you want the 11th because it is the 'Sourcebook' of primary source docs, plus it includes an index of the whole series. OneStepAtATime
How long do you intend to spend on it? A year? A few months? Multiple years? Do you want to interweave it with other disciplines? Do it every day? A couple of times a week? Include geography?
Luckymama
Are you wanting to combine your kids or are you looking for a specific age/grade/level?
