Searching the forum?

I am having difficulties searching. I am trying to search for US History. When I type that in it only searches for history. If I try "US", I need three letters. If I try U.S. it searches for "us". How do search for US History? Google it? :)

 

Anyone have strong WTM-search-fu skills? :)

I google "welltrainedmind us history" instead of messing with the search engine here, especially if I'm on my phone.

I haven't been able to find a THING when I search here. I will post something and it gets lost in the shuffle. So, I'll search for it, sometimes on the same day using the EXACT wording in the title or in the post and I get 0 results.

 

I have never once been successful in a search here.

 

I have heard of googling the topic, as the PP said, and it works doing it that way.

 

I hope someone knows how to actually find something in the WTM search and chimes in.

Tags used to be very helpful in searching.

Yep, just google. Save yourself the aggravation of dealing with the search engine here.

I always use a site search on Google coupled with my search term.

Example:

"U.S. History" site:forums.welltrainedmind.com

 

(putting the phrase in quotes will pull up that exact phrase, so it won't find threads with United States History but it will find U.S. History and US History)
