The Children's Homer by Padraic Colum vs. The Trojan War by Coolidge

Do any of you have experience with both books?  I have the Children's Homer, but wondered if the Trojan War was a higher reading level or if it was better in some way.

No experience with the Coolidge book but Padraic Colum is a favorite for my classics-loving ds. He's both read and listened to several of this author's books. The writing is lyrical, written with a poet's eye to detail and atmosphere.

MmmmHmmmm....love me some Colum.
