texasmama
If dd had no job for fun money and we were willing and able to provide that, I would likely give her about $200 a month for coffee drinks, nail polish, movies, etc. She is frugal so I know she would make it work. This is in addition to all needed expenses. Our bank accounts allow the transfer of money directly into dd's account from ours, which has been convenient. Penguin
My son is attending school in a foreign country. His student visa permit spelled out how much his sponsors (that is us!) are required to provide each month. I'm pretty sure that I would have come up with a smaller number on my own , lol. Hoggirl
Coming back to this thread to update: We have decided to go with $250 per month. I believe dh will deposit $125 on the 1st and the 15th - once we get banking sorted.
