Independent writing curriculum

I want program that is upper elementary grade level.

 

I already have a grammar program, a spelling program, and a handwriting program.  I don't need these activities included in a writing program.  And our spelling program includes dictation and copywork.

 

What I am missing is the composition part of a writing program.  I'd like something that gives assignments which eventually will teach them to write different forms of writing (poetry, letters, reports, essays, articles, short stories, etc.). 

 

I need it to be independent of me - something the 3 older kids can be assigned to do while I'm working on something with the younger kids. 

 

Ideally it'd be 15-20 minutes a day, 4 days a week.

 

Does something like this exist?

We're using Jump In by Apologia next year after searching for a writing program that meets criteria similar to yours.  Writing can't really be totally independent at that age though unless you're outsourcing.
