laughing lioness
Our homeschool high school kids just put on a wonderful production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat -70 minutes performed at a local college theater- this all grew out of a drama camp started in a back-yard 14 years ago.The performance was fantastic! You can see some of the pics here. This week, many of those same kids are at Shakespeare camp, directed by the Caitilin, a boardie :coolgleamA: . A Midsummer's Night Dream will perform at an outdoor theater this coming Sat (providing the weather chills out a bit!).

laughing lioness
Caitlin rocks, no doubt about it! These kids GET Shakespeare, thanks to her!
FloridaLisa
Those kinds of productions are always so much work but so worth it! Your kids will remember for years their experiences reading, memorizing, blocking, practicing, messing up lines and cues, gathering props and costumes. I know our homeschool group does one Shakespeare play a year (on a smaller scale than yours) and the it's always the highlight! My kids still recall stories from all those practices. Good stuff. Yes, it does make a mama proud! Lisa
