MaeFlowers
Has anyone had any experience with this test? Did you find it accurate? Ds' dr is planning to use this instead of the WISC because insurance covers it and will follow up with the WISC only if necessary.
OneStepAtATime
I only know this from articles I have read but the WASI I think is the abreviated version of the WISC, IIRC. I remember reading that there is some scientific evidence to indicate that the WASI may show somewhat different final results from the WISC but not enough valid research has been done, that I am aware of, to determine whether the difference is significant enough to discount the WASI. geodob
WASI is used as what is termed as a 'Screener', to identify whether further testing such as WISC is required. If it shows that further testing is required? Then insurance might then cover WISC testing?
