Any chance a caffeine sensitivity could go away years later?

I haven't had coffee in 5 years because I out of the clear blue developed a bad sensitivity to it.  It was making me get horrible jump out of my skin feelings and anxiety. I have been considering trying it again but am scared.

Did anyone have a sensitivity and it go away?

I stopped consuming caffeine about 25 years ago due to horrific migraines. I was given a Midol by a friend during some severe cramping about 10 years ago, not realizing that it contained caffeine. I thought I was going to die. My heart was racing, I was shaking like a leaf, and I was horribly dizzy. If I had taken two of those bad boys, I probably would have ended up in the ER.

If you give it a try, start with a very small amount, because it will probably give you some jitters.

Yes, it can happen.

Maybe you could start with a very small amount and see how it goes. I would be sure to do it early in the day, though, in case it still affects you, so it would have a chance to wear off before bedtime. (I hate feeling nervous or jumpy at bedtime!)
