Pretty much a day off for me.

Open House at Camp one of my sons would like to attend this summer

Home Depot for bedding plants and mulch

Son and Daughter-in-laws for lunch and time with all my grandkids and 5 of my 6 children

(daughter and son-in-law live in MO, my first Mother's Day without her)

-Stop feeling fuzzy headed & wake up - might take a while

-walk for dog who is visiting

-walk for Dd's dog (Dd is doing the walking, but I don't let her go alone)

-grooming for visiting dog

-dishes

-move some books around (some people would call it organizing) - will have to wait for another day

African Violet show with my mom, followed by dinner and a movie here at home

Update:

forgot I had to write grocery list- finished that

dishes being worked on

dog bathing & grooming up next

Visiting dog proved to be quite a handful!

After the violet show we stopped at a book sale and I did some of the grocery shopping.  Then we dropped of the dog who was staying with us.  I'm ready for bed!

My dd turns 4 tomorrow and I think we're going to be celebrating it tonight as a family so I won't have too much to do other than having fun with my family! But here is what needs to happen before the fun.

-combat fitness class for me

- ds acrobatics and kung fu

- dd kung fu

-laundry(at least one load cleaned, folded, and put away)

-15 minutes of cleaning for kids

-1 hour straight cleaning for me and dh(that should leave the house in perfect shape for the next few days)

Good Morning everyone!

Tired from coughing all night but there is coffee, so I will make it.

Going to the open house for a brand new, first of it's kind Lyme Center this afternoon!  I am hoping to find more resources for support and things we haven't been able to get for Rowan as yet.  It's kind of a big deal so I am excited.

Other than that, not a bunch.

I have some laundry to fold but it's just as good sitting in the dryer :)

It's just me and #2 today.  Dh and #1 are at 4H competition.

I don't have anything really planned.  The house is clean and I went to the grocery store yesterday.

Good morning!

Busy day here. Dh took swimmers in for practice, ds2 has judo this morning and his D&D club this afternoon. I am meeting my mom (and sister, I think) for lunch and some shopping this afternoon.

Oh, and a FHC mass for my goddaughter this morning.

Cramming everything in today, so tomorrow involves absolutely nothing!

Dh made pancakes for breakfast.

Today:

some school work because of my family being here earlier in the week

laundry

lunch

cleaning job

plan school for next week

work on going through books for book sale next week

work on Awana recognition tomorrow

I really, really wish Awana recognition Sunday was not tomorrow. We were originally going to do it next week, and the church asked us to move it up a week. Now I've found out they are doing the Mother's day stuff before we have to come up to do our part. Dh will do most of the talking, but I don't know what shape I'm going to be in to go up there. Can I just stay home in bed?

It's official, I Sophia Grace's cold.  I feel like I have cotton in my ears and throat...not pretty, not pretty at all.

Done:

  • tided the house and vacuumed first floor
  • everyone has had breakfast and kitchen is clean
  • showered and dressed
  • going to get DD a Mother's Day gift from Sophia.  Every mom should get a  little something special.
  • dinner will be sandwiches tonight and chips--clean out the refrigerator night
  • watch movies and relax

Have a good day!

I got my first Mother's Day gift. The family is going to clean the office and let me stay home. I'm glad to have a day off (not a single on since we started last September, except when we've been out of town). I'm wondering if I'll be so nervous about them doing a good job with my part, that I won't get to enjoy the break, though!

One load of laundry is done and another is about to go in the dryer.

Lunch is done and dinner is in the crockpot.

Three hours, give or take to myself...what to do while they are gone?

Laundry is being started now.  Kids are having relax time and will clean after that.  i suppose I'll start my hour of cleaning!

Good Afternoon from the Left Coast!

Today I....

** had my Mother's Day gift from DH - the morning off with breakfast at Mimi's Cafe with my BFF. The one person I can cover deep issues of faith, parenting problems, homeschool, weight problems, and the drama of our high school chums on Facebook all in one two hour session. We've been friends for 30+ years!

** target and Costco run

** planned ds1's birthday party

Yet to do...

** finish planning for vacation to the beach next week

** get Children's Church lesson finished

** work outside a bit

** figure out what to have for supper

Done today:

Load of dishes

Towels in dryer

Camping gear list

Camping menu

Three thrift stores w/dd to find a banquet dress

(Ugh - just the traffic trying to get around town with a parade and soccer tournaments going on was enough to make me want to call it quits for the day!)

Researched string orchestra music for next fall

Major grocery trip

Made dinner

Walk around neighborhood w/family

Talked to clematis vines to encourage growth, did a little weeding

Read new book
