Joanne
http://www.houstonarboretum.org/index.asp Do you know if the classes they offer are open to homeschoolers? Is getting a membership "worth" it? Would it be a good supplement to science, or are my older students "past" the observing nature stage? chiguirre
I'd give Jesse Jones Park a try. They offer a lot of different nature oriented classes for free (or very low cost). I don't know specifics for older kids but they have some nice classes for PK and early elementary. ETA: Whoops, I thought you were talking about Mercer Arboretum that's close to JJ. Little did I know there's another one. Sorry for the mixup.
Robin in Tx
I hear it's for younger. Have you tried posting this on GHAH? The people there would know for sure. Robin
