Name of High School for SAT registration

Recommended Posts

I honestly have no idea, but I was actually looking into how homeschool students take SATs earlier. I found a few links.

This is from the forums: http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/203602-what-is-the-universal-homeschool-code-for-sat-does-anyone-know-thanksnt/

and these are from virtual-land:

https://professionals.collegeboard.com/testing/sat-subject/register/homeschooled

I hope that helps, a little.

Just to add info for the other CB tests here.

Advanced Placement - Students do need to bring an ID, but don't need to preregister a photo. Homeschool codes are separate from the code of the school at which they test. These codes are available in the AP Coordinator's Manual (This year, they are on page 18 of this manual and differ by state and country.)

PSAT also has different codes for each state. The current list as well as a search engine of schools offering the PSAT are available here.

As long as we're talking about homeschool codes, I'd like to know if anyone has had the problem we did with PSATs. Both dc registered and used the homeschool code for VA. The guidance counselor walked them through the application process and made sure that they put the right codes down. However, every time they receive info now from College Board, or sometimes from a college, they are referenced as students at the high school where they took the PSAT. I actually spoke with the CB today about it because I wanted it changed before they signed up for the June SAT. I was told they could not fix it, although dc were able to change it on their online profile when they registered today. Should I be concerned about this administrative error?

TIA,

Pamela F.
