Gil
Is it realistic to do 2 chapters a week in this book? I'm thinking of starting it next week and continuing through to the end. We are not doing all the activities/map coloring/games--just reading through and discussing the story and doing the tests (which will be kept as a reminder/refresher/review material.) We may also do some add on reading but for now, my intention is only to use it as a survey-course of Ancient history.
Just Another Jen
Yes. We read through two volumes 1 Summer and my kids remembered it all.
Crimson Wife
Yes, totally. My DS is doing history 3 days/week and often does two SOTW chapters in one week. The reason is that I like to have him read SOTW as an overview/background knowledge before he reads more in-depth stories from the "Famous Men" series. So this week, for example, he read the two chapters in SOTW on Julius Caesar on Monday & Wednesday and he'll read the "Famous Men of Rome" story on Julius Caesar today. Tanikit
I couldn't - but that doesn't mean you can't :)
