JustEm
So I'm homeschooling my nephew next year who will be in 3rd grade anda friend of mine with twins who will be in 3rd were talking about getting together once a month for a science day. What I can't decide is if it should just be random/ whatever the parent organizing it wants to teach that day or if it should fit some sort of theme that would build on either what they learn weekly or what they worked on the last month. Any ideas or suggestions. This is purely in the idea stage. We'll also have one in 1st who will be involved and 6th graderand 8th grader who may be involved but may choose not to be. Miss Tick
When I did that, I used lessons from BFSU as a spine. We focused on physical science for the FUN! factor, plus the other mom and I both have ME degrees. How fun to work it with someone else, I'm jealous.
