raristy
Is there a high school writing curriculum you've loved and has strengthen your child's writing skills. My daughter writes fairly well, she's done a little of Shurley and one IEW, but I'd like to expose her to another writing curriculum as she develops her own writing voice. Please let me know. Many thanks, Rosa
Kareni
When my daughter was in eighth and ninth grades, we used the book The Lively Art of Writing by Lucile Vaughan Payne which I considered time well spent. Regards, Kareni
Catfishcookin
Online...Writeathome.com incorporates the Lively Art of Writing into the lessons. It is our first year with Write at Home and I am very pleased with it.

Catfishcookin
Workshops...We took Essay 1 and are currently in Essay2 Workshop (Literary Analysis & Quotation essays). The assigned reading is from the Lively Art of Writing and that reading is then used to "format" the essays
Hoot
what level of Write at home is us ing Lively Art of Writing? THanks. Comp. 2 uses it, and if I'm not mistaken, Comp. 3 does also. DS will be doing Comp. 2 next year.
dhudson
I have to say that I think Writing With Skill 1&2 are fantastic programs. I have been using it for 7&8th but I think it could easily work for High School writing.
