where can you find reading rainbow?

Recommended Posts

I've searched and searched and the only place I can find it is either you buy per episode on Itunes/amazon or watch a terrible copy on youtube.  Isn't is on tv any more?  I'd love to buy it, but not off of a download.  I want a dvd.

library?

Ask yours to buy it if they don't have it

I guess you could call PBS to see if you could buy a season

Library is a good idea.  Just found out my current library doesn't, but I'm moving this summer.  Hopefully my new one will.

It's been off the air almost ten years now. (sheesh, that long already?!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reading_Rainbow

LeVar Burton owns the rights now and has moved it to the (for pay) ipad app site.  We have it and I enjoy it, but it's only snippets plus a catalog of books, not the full show.

It looks like there are retailers listed on the right hand side of this page: http://www.readingrainbow.com/classic-series  I'd see if you could get them through a library first.

We have a bunch I found on VHS tapes at thrift shops. DD loves them!

Maybe try ebay for VHS versions?

Or I know there are selected episodes available on DVD on amazon.

Discovery education streaming has them. I have heard some towns have subscriptions for their schools and home schoolers can access it that way. Maybe see if your town does that?
