heidip2p
If so, how did you make this work? Does each one need their own set of cards? I am trying to figure out how to make this work.
Paige
We did it with one set of everything. I had them do the cards together and if either missed one it stayed in the "needs work" section. We didn't bother with the progress chart. Later on when we had the silent e book and other things like that they shared and took turns. I thought it was better working with 2 than with one. Working with one now seems tedious and boring although it is faster. With 2, they take turns, watch each other, help each other, and it's more fun. MerryAtHope
I started out with only one set of cards and teaching both of my kids together. They both reviewed all the cards until both had them mastered. Then it was obvious my oldest could move faster, and I tried to mark cards--sometimes there were cards they both needed to review, sometimes one but not the other--sometimes a card was mastered for my oldest but not yet introduced for my youngest--it got confusing after awhile! Both of mine were struggling spellers who needed lots of review, and I decided it was easiest to get another set of cards so they each had one. The cards really let you customize the review to each one's needs, and to easily keep track of who needs to review what. I used separate sets throughout. arcara
I just kept a written list of words my kids needed to review. Now I use the A+ Spelling app on our iPad for them to review spelling words.
