Arcadia
I let my boys used them for self learning. However people in this board has used Zometools for Geometry and Snap Circuits for Electronics.. There is a Zometool Geometry book. Link is to the table of contents There is also a Snap Circuit student guide that people like and was discussed in this thread and other threads. http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/332621-i-have-snap-circuits-teachers-guide-and-student-guide/?p=3430183
hellen
We have both. The Snap Circuits has been in our house for two years now I think. The Zome tools arrived this Christmas. The Zome tools are a huge hit. My son likes to build with things that don't fall apart (but not Legos) so this fit the bill for him. My six year old is also starting to build. The snap circuits have been used in spurts but not loved. Both are just for free play at this point.
