shanvan
Somehow I always think so---but only if the water is fully boiled and the tea is made properly. Anyway....I'm going to find out. (Clearly I am not doing very well at getting to all the things i am avoiding and instead I have started posting ridiculous questions. Maybe some tea will jump start my to do list.) Apparently I will do anything to avoid my to-do list ---I am actually looking up tea drinking smileys!
OneStepAtATime
I was carefully printing out documents, prepping lessons, paying bills...then made the mistake of getting on here for just a minute. Now I need a tea break... :)

shanvan
In my world tea must always be taken with dark Oh! There we go, another thing to do before getting to the list of things i am avoiding--search for dark chocolate. I like that much better than searching for books we need and somehow misplaced. And here's an article to back up why I need to find the chocolate. It will help me concentrate on my to-do list...... http://www.prevention.com/food/food-remedies/5-chocolate-health-benefits-why-it-boosts-your-head-and-heart
Mom in High Heels
I'm drinking a cup right now. It does make things better. That's why the Brits are always giving someone tea when they're upset. Don't you watch BBC? :)
TeacherZee
I don't know if it makes things better but they do seem easier. When I was at uni tea breaks were considered legitimate breaks from studying. My flatmates and I drank a lot of tea during exam times :D

Liz CA
It's not just the tea itself, but a piping hot cup of good tea with some good honey in it can be medicinal because you should wrap your hands around the cup, lean back in a comfortable chair and relax, pray, zone out a bit and recharge. J-rap
Funny, I was just wondering today what a hot toddy really was, and was about to go looking for a recipe... HRAAB
Tea does help make things better. If I need a little more, a shot of bourbon with honey & lemon does the trick.
OneStepAtATime
I've recently discovered hot toddies . . . does seem to make everything better . . .with a little rum . . . My grandparents called them "Toddies for the Bodies" and they always had one while we sat around watching the evening news on Sunday night. Took me years to realize it wasn't some sort of doctor prescribed medicine, like Theraflu or something,,. :) I was a little slow as a teenager.... dbmamaz
If you dont mind really foul language, this was the toddy recipe that got me started. And I trusted her, because she'd already won me over with her recipe for strawberry grapefruit margarita - obviously not appropriate for this month's weather Oh, he - i think the author is actually a guy? 4ofus
While I love hot tea, I also love toddies. However, toddies come out when I'm feeling under the weather & I completely skip the tea and/or water. My idea of a toddy is bourbon, honey, lemon & cinnamon. Ginger if I have it. Liberal amounts of all. Warm. It burns, but you sleep good & wake up well. It's magic.
KungFuPanda
Tea makes everything better! ::sips Irish breakfast tea with some sugar and a splash of milk:: Tea even helps me clean my kitchen because I empty the dishwasher while it steeps. Mom in High Heels
No, but a cup of coffee or a glass of wine does. :) Okay, I can get behind the wine, but coffee is the devil! Coffee smells awful and tastes like the burned stuff you scrape off the bottom of the oven. Not that I've ever actually tasted the stuff from the bottom of the oven, coffee is just what I imagine it tastes like.
shanvan
Mom in High Heels, OF COURSE I watch BBC, that's how I know to try the tea. IT worked yesterday, but, sorry to report, tea is not cutting it today. Maybe I've just rushed into the tea too soon. I mean, mostly before they serve the tea on TV someone has died. :svengo:
