Tsutsie
Can you suggest a character education program for a almost 9 year old? Our initial plan of letting life guide us and discussing as we go, is not working anymore. I would like to cover things like attentiveness, respect, confidence, trust, gentleness, honesty, etc.
LindaOz
Simply Charlotte Mason has a curriculum that covers those things called Laying Down the Rails. It looks really good and you can get it as a download.
73349
Look at The Virtues Guide: A Family Handbook. It has a parents' section and then about 50 virtues, in alphabetical order, with a short, kid-friendly guide to each.
edeemarie
We are completely changing our curriculum to focus on character and will starting using KONOS in January. MomintheMountains
PACE- this is Catholic, but I think there is a version that is not Catholic. I think this could probably be used for all Christians, regardless of denomination. http://www.emmanuelbooks.com/product_detail.cfm/ID/1367/P-A-C-E-NEW-Edition-Program-for-Achieving-Character-Education/

thelittlebluenotebook
I like to weave character studies into history like this: http://wp.me/p48PJM-41. But if you want something with more structure, try characterconcepts.com. Boyer has several products, including Character Trails which would work for you. You can also buy from graceandtruthbooks here http://www.graceandtruthbooks.com/product/character-trails-learning-to-walk-in-paths-of-righteousness On the more expensive side is the Keepers of the Faith Character series: http://www.keepersofthefaith.com/category/WriteUponMyHeartCharacterCurriculum. Haven't used this myself, but other products from them have been great.
