Garga
I was at a friend's house a few months ago. She was cooking dinner and got a burn on her finger. Her husband pulled out a tube of cream from the medicine cabinet, put it on her finger, and the burning sensation went away right away. I wanted some of that for my medicine cabinet so I asked them what it was. They said, "Oh, it's a prescription cream we had from another burn awhile ago. You can't get it at the store, but it works great!" Does anyone know of an over the counter cream that can work FAST to take away that horrible burning sensation? My 8 year old burned his finger on a lightbulb at bedtime just before the above story and we had to stay up for a good hour holding ice wrapped in washcloths on his finger, waiting for the horrible pain of the burn to subside so he could sleep. Mama Geek
Lidocaine worked great on burns on my hands and legs when I spilled boiling beans on them. Also dh ordered me to get in the pool as fast as I could and we also put triple antibiotic ointment to keep infections away.
Tangerine
When I worked at Starbucks our First Aid kit had something called "Burn Free". I use pain relief Neosporin all the time for burns.
