Luckymama
I'd like to know how old some of the science lectures are, specifically the Intro to Astronomy 2nd edition by Filippenko http://www.thegreatcourses.com/tgc/courses/course_detail.aspx?cid=1810. Is there a way to tell from the listing? I'm on an ipad which sometimes makes a difference with websites. Dd has been reading books with publication dates of 2012 and 2013 and Astronomy magazine, as well as reading various NASA and JPL mission websites. Her interest is currently planetary/solar system astronomy. We have now exhausted the up-to-date resources in our very good library system. Another question--is 70% off a very long course the best I can expect? Thanks :)
TGHEALTHYMOM
I looked at your link on my laptop and did not see any date of publication. I have : Understanding the Universe: What's New in Astronomy, 2003 also taught by Professor Alex Filippenko It does not have an edition number, just the year on the cover. If you really want the publication date on this 2nd edition, I would email, call, or chat with someone from TC.

In The Great White North
I have Understanding the Universe by Filippenko, dtd 1998, so I'd say the 2003 edition must be he 2nd edition.
