AlmiraGulch
This is a little odd, but I just bought this "Cats Playing Hungry Hungry Hippos" signed print from The Oatmeal for DD10 for her birthday. She loves all things cat, and all things quirky, and this one fits the bill. The site has other unique gift items, but mostly I go there for the humor. The site is not to everyone's taste, but if you're not sensitive to language it's pretty funny stuff.
MissKNG
I am extremely excited about the unique gift we have for my father!!! His token gifts each year are sugar free candies and books. Hard.to.shop.for. Has everything, needs or wants nothing. A gal on fb mentioned her son was accepted to Kettering University in Michigan, which used to be General Motors Institute back in the day. My dad is a GMI alum so I got a great idea to hit ebay for some GMI memorabilia and hit the jackpot!!! I found an original, unused GMI application, application booklet and envelope (there is a name on the label) circa 1960. Not the same year my father would have applied but very close and I can't imagine the application and booklet changing much in a couple years time span. So I ordered it! And I'm also going to type on a label with my dad's name and address from where he lived when he was in high school. Sooo...when he opens the gift, it will look like the GMI application packet was addressed to him!! I'm hoping it will bring him a flood of fond memories. I'm really excited about this!!! :hurray:

Kareni
http://outofprintclothing.com I've seen some of those at a book store. They are fun! http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=state+cutting+boards&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=29933033607&hvpos=1t2&hvexid=&hvnetw=s&hvrand=1119779030775649760&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_8hhia0euw4_b Those are neat. One wonders if they have one for Rhode Island (perhaps to cut lemons and limes); I guess Hawaii would require several boards! I got a green velour track suit as a gift once. Does that count as unique or just awful? I like geeky tees: www.freshbrewedtee.com http://www.welovefine.com My daughter loved wearing her green velour one piece outfit when she was between one and three; it started a love of velour that is going strong twenty years later! (She'd probably love your track suit.) Fun t-shirts ... and that's a wild and crazy pair of leggings at the second site.
