mom31257
I've got a field trip with ds today, so we're heading out soon for that. My dad has been regularly checking my mom's sugar (morning, before meals, and evenings), and she hasn't needed any insulin since coming home from the hospital. She is having swelling in her ankles which says her kidneys may not be doing well. I asked her how much water she is drinking and she said probably not enough. I told her to try drinking more and see if that helps. They really want to biopsy her liver but can't because of the blood thinners they put her on for the heart stint. They'll have to wait at least 6 months. If they had told her she had to be on them, she would have been asking for alternative treatments (balloon, medications, etc.) for the blockage. My sister was there and they said nothing about it when telling her about the procedure. Breakfast make lunches for field trip dd school: chemistry, history, Spanish, writing clean house more when back from field trip supper take dd to her first play performance

RoughCollie
Gosh, it is nearly noon and I haven't accomplished much. I'd better get on the stick! I know I won't get all this done. DD will help with this gargantuan task. Then suggest, when DD thinks her wardrobe is too skimpy, that she either get a job, or realign her notion of how many clothes one girl needs, or get her own place so she can turn the extra bedrooms into closets. Project #3 Make dog cookies for treat bags for 9 dogs - they graduate from my beginning obedience class next week.

KrissiK
Jean, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you improve as the day goes on, and are able to get some good rest tonight. I was able to get some good rest last night. I thought I was getting sick yesterday, but it turns out to just be fatigue. Dh is taking the day off today and the kids are lovin' it. They all want to do their oral reading with him and he took over J's math, which is good. It's always nice to have a little help. We have co-op this afternoon. And that's it for the day. Jean in Newcastle
Go through mail - done Pay bills - done 2nd load in dryer - done (and that means I'm done with laundry for the day) Next up: sweep and mop the bathroom floor
Jean in Newcastle
Sweep and then mop bathroom floors - done Living room tidied - done I am very proud of myself. I have officially moved out of just emergency mode and am now actively cleaning my house instead of letting it get bad enough for dh to have to do it in addition to his two jobs. There is still tons to do around here - basic cleaning as well as decluttering and organizing but I'm making baby steps. Now if I don't slide backwards into emergency mode again because of my health cratering I'll be good.
