Candid
My dh has an iphone that his business provides. He likes to send me photos in emails, but for some reason the iphone names every single one of them "photo" this makes for a tedious saving and renaming process since they each need a new name. I'd really like him to have a way to transfer these photos to me easily, probably through the cloud. I use Amazon's cloud service which would be great. I know iphone has some kind of cloud service, but we must have a super simple way for him to give me access. He is not a tech person at all and he won't perform a million steps to do this because it won't make sense to him.
nmoira
I'd just use Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/ https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flickr/id328407587?mt=8 It's owned by Yahoo! which neglected it sadly for years, but Marissa Meyer has made its rejuvenation a top priority. The iOS and Android apps have been redone and the amount of free storage offered is staggering.
Dmmetler
I was able to connect iCloud to my new Windows 8 computer so all the iPod/iPad photos are available there if I linked them to iCloud. I don't know If you can do that on any version but Windows 8, though.

mytwomonkeys
Do you have an iphone too? Is he away for work or is at home often? My husband and I use air drop (ios7). When our phones are near each other he air drops everything and it just shows up on my phone.
Dmmetler
The setting you probably want is Photostream to iCloud. When I have photostream on, all photos DD takes on her iPod and ones taken on my iPad are visible and can be manipulated/saved etc from both iDevices and from my Windows 8 PC. It's quick and easy.
