Chris in VA
I am trying to go off the prion-inhibitors I've been on forever--they just aren't healthy for me. Ds mentioned ACV and I have heard of it--but it does seem counter-intuitive. What's been your experience? (Or if you know of someone else's experience, that's good, too!) I can google for more info, I just want some testimonials...
EKS
My mother swears by this. I always thought it was weird, I mean, vinegar for acid? She learned about it from her grandmother.
maddykate
Yes I have. Earlier in my pregnancy, I was suffering pretty badly with acid reflux and indigestion. For about four nights in a row, I drank a small bit of ACV in a glass of water and I have not had a problem since. It made a believer out of me. marbel
Our family's allergist recommends it. My son takes a couple of meds for GERD but he can't tolerate the vinegar. When I was a kid my mom gave us a concoction of apple cider vinegar, honey, and water for any stomach ailment. Gah, it was awful. But it seemed to help. Pawz4me
Apple cider vinegar or any food that has even a tiny bit of vinegar in it is a HUGE reflux trigger for me. No, no, NO!
MomtoCandJ
Not yet, I buy generic Tagamet at Walmart for dh right know and try to limit acidic, and fried foods (he suffered last night, he decided he wanted KFC). Read the book Acid Drop, there are lots of ideas in there and what foods are really bad :)
