The kids squeezed through the eighteen inches between our duplex and the border of our city lot, all around the house, but the kitten evaded them. He stayed out through two rainstorms, and even after dark. Once the kids were in bed, I climbed into the neighbors yard (I can't fit in our side "yard") and called the kitty's name. Soon I heard distant meowing. Five minutes later, kitty leaped into my arms. He loves me. Then I saw this cute video come up on a Twitterer I follow, and it was perfect. Very sweet. The whole lead-up time I was thinking that this is one of those videos my partner's son likes to watch where something goes horribly wrong.
