Bellamoon
My 6 year old keeps writing her b's and d's backwards. When she reads she gets any word that has a b or d in it wrong also. I am sure its mostly normal at this age (she will be 7 in Dec). Other then drilling those letters how do I get her to read and write them properly? SilverMoon
My little one says, "B has a belly and D has a derriere." The bed trick worked for one of my older kids. Make a b with your left fingers, a d with your right, and press them together to make the shape of a bed.
Bellamoon
We have tried every trick possible. She has been writing since she was 4.
wapiti
Reversals are normal at 6. One way to fix the writing would be to teach cursive.
