alisoncooks
I'm picking up some read-alouds for my kiddos and I've/we've never read any of the Milly-Molly-Mandy stories. Looking on Amazon, there seem to be several options. What's the best one to start with?
ThisIsTheDay
I'm not much help, but I'll chime in and give your post a bump. Which is the first MMM book? My dd read a couple of these (the ones our library had) ten years ago and loved them. :D
GailV
We liked this one: http://www.amazon.com/Milly-Molly-Mandy-Storybook-Joyce-Lankester-Brisley/dp/0753453320/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1379474134&sr=1-1&keywords=milly+molly+mandy We also have the one with the read cover entitled More Milly-Molly-Mandy, which is a good follow-up. That's the one we used with Sonlight P4/5. It seemed to be from the beginning. :)
alisoncooks
Great, thanks! I hate reading series out of order so this is just what I needed to hear. :)
Kathryn
We started with the Sonlight one and then bought a book that was all of them bound together: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0140348654/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1379512721&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL85

(I like the idea of a compilation but can only seem to find paperback on Amazon. (I'm currently obsessed with buying all my novels/fiction in hardcover, LOL... looks so much better on my shelves.) Kathryn
It's a paperback, sorry!
alisoncooks
It's a paperback, sorry! Thanks. Does it feel sturdy, like it'll hold up fairly well?
craftyerin
My library system had 2 different story compilations. We checked them both out, and they have about a quarter of the stories overlapping. So just beware of that.
Kathryn
Thanks. Does it feel sturdy, like it'll hold up fairly well? Yes, I chose a "Used-Like New" copy and it's held up very nicely.
