yvonne Posted September 12, 2013 Share Posted September 12, 2013 My two 8th grade boys are using Derek Owens this year. They watch his video lecture while taking guided notes in the workbook. Then they complete the homework pages and scan/email the homework, and the chapter tests, to Derek. He grades it and emails it back. All grades are recorded in a "gradebook" online that the boys and I can see at any time to see what their current class average is. The boys love it. Derek's course follows the Dolciani Math Structure & Method Algebra I book, which I like. I'm already looking forward to handing Geometry off to Derek next year!
