Cricket
If you have a course designed to count towards English and history, how do you count the hours? The other day we read a long introduction and critique of the Epic of Gilgamesh. It was a literary critique as well as informative of the historical context. Would you count the time spent in reading and discussion under both English and history in that instance?
bugs
I would either split it up evenly or assign it to the course with the least amount of time scheduled.
regentrude
I did an integrated history and English course for 9th and 10th grade, following the WTM model. I simply counted all the hours spent in both subjects towards the integrated course and made sure I had enough hours to justify two full credits, one each for English and history (which means at minimum 300+ hours). But you can not count the same chunk of time both towards each English and history: no double dipping.
G5052
Yes, just track the total to make sure that you're in the ball park, but divide it into two classes on the transcript. We did that last year with Omnibus (combined history/lit/theology), and it came out to more than I needed for three credits.
Cricket
I thought I had it figured out and then when I went to write down the days work I was wondering about double dipping! Thanks!
