g1234
I'm not joking. I kind of get what "liking" means in the general social media world, but I do very little social media and I probably don't really understand it at all. I have never even had a facebook page, by choice. Anyway, it seems a bit different on this web site--we're not "liking" posts in order to get on a company's mailing list or get a free cup of coffee. I'm looking for an “Idiot's Guide to Social Media†answer. Does it just mean that you like what they wrote and agree with it? Does it have other implications for them, you, or the web site? Many thanks. I hope this isn't too dumb a question. I looked around on the explanatory sections of the web site, and either I missed it or I'm just so clueless that it's a question that really shoudn't need to be answered! :bored:
mommymilkies
It's just like nodding along or agreeing with someone in person. Sometimes it means thanks, sometimes it means it was hilarious and appreciated.
g1234
Thanks! That's pretty much what I had figured, but I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something. Much appreciated.
Rosie_0801
Sometimes it is an acknowledgement of a post directed to you, but you have nothing to say in reply.
Melissa in Australia
Plus it is so nice to come on to the forum and find someone actually read what you wrote and even liked it enough to give it a like.
g1234
;) I couldn't resist! Thanks again, all.
