Kfamily
Hi! I picked this up at a used book store and wondered if anyone knew anything about it. I thought it might be a good supplement. Thanks in advance!
latinteach
Hi! I picked this up at a used book store and wondered if anyone knew anything about it. I thought it might be a good supplement. Thanks in advance! It's a series fairly typical of the 1930s. The author went on to write the "Latin for Americans" curriculum, which is still in print and used in classrooms to this day. What is your core curriculum that you will use it with?
Kfamily
for the first two units. This is for dd6th. I really like how it is organized and it has some great reference charts in the back. Also, dd said she likes to translate or the reading sections in latin so I thought we could use this from it too. I am so new at this I thought it might be nice to have another book around just in case we don't understand something in the Henle. What do you think? Thanks for looking at this.:001_smile: I couldn't find much with just a basic search.

Thanks for looking at this.:001_smile: I couldn't find much with just a basic search. It's a grammar-based book, like Henle. I agree that the Ullman book has some nice reference charts in the back (like a lot of other books from the same era). It's always nice to have extra reading material.
