MyThreeSons
No advisories for us, but my two sons that live 1000 miles from here (and 1000 miles from each other) are both under heat advisory for the next couple of days. We are predicted to be hot and humid, and have occasional thunderstorms over the next several days, but nothing extreme, I guess.
GailV
Heat advisories here. I'm pondering the college tours we took in which some dorms didn't have air conditioning, "but that's not really a problem." Um, yeah, right ... glad dd isn't living in one of those right now .... Annie G
Our local public schools started back this week and EVERY day has been an early release day due to weather. It's been around 90 degrees and the heat index puts it in the mid-90's. Oddly enough, they are still having football and other sports practices after school. Too hot to sit in a hot classroom but not too hot to practice. Dd's college is a few hours from here and they told the students that if they live in dorms or houses with no AC they can find a buddy who does have AC and bunk with them this week. Dd has been spending a lot of time in the cool library.g
