LadyR
I ordered Spanish 1 (BJU Distance Learning) to use for 7th grade and, after reading another thread on a similar topic, am wondering if I should spread it out over 2 years and then do Spanish 2 in 9th grade. Does this sound like a good idea, or should I just go ahead and plan to complete it in 1 year? I didn't realize it was a high school course when I ordered it - they start offering it as an elective for 7th grade. If you've used BJU Spanish 1, I'd appreciate your thoughts. mom2bee
It will depend on what else you are doing for 7th grade, but I think that Spanish 1 can easily be completed by a 7th grader in one year. I don't know how much supplementation you will need to do for it, but I can't imagine that if it is a core subject it will need 2 years. Have you considered spreading it for 1.5 years and starting Spanish 2 in the second half of 8th grade?
