best vacuum for dealing with pet hair

Hi guys
Sorry for the boring. But can anyone recommend the best vacuum cleaner for dealing with pet hair. Ideally I want something that is great on laminate and carpet as my entire downstairs is laminate. How about dyson dc39? And also something that's great for doing the sofa and stairs. As much as I'd love a Dyson don't think I could justify the price of one to my OH.

Tristar makes a really good one. My cousin sold them one summer so my parents have one. They are expensive, but you can get them second hand for not too much and they still work really great :)

I bought a Eureka at Sam's Club for $99 last year under duress (company arriving the next day!). Their promo in the store claimed they "sucked" better than the leading one for 4 times the price. I've always had "good" vacuums buying based on the Consumer Reports testing, but this one is the best I have EVER used. I had spilled some red embossing powder on my tan carpet years ago.... at least 5? I've vacuumed it over and over and it just was always a red stain remaining. ONE PASS with this thing, and it is GONE. GONE i tell you!!!

On my HS group recently someone was needing to replace a dyson that broke and 3 others piped up about the Eureka's. Target had a similar model and some of them had that variant. I would whole heartedly recommend and buy it again. SOmeone else I know has it as their upstairs vacuum and a dyson downstairs and likes it just as well,

ETA: I do not have a pet - but the others piping up in the loop did. I just have no landscaping/grass and 1.25 acres and we wear shoes in the house! :p

I have a Dyson animal that I like, but I bought a refurbished Bissel that ran circles around the Dyson. I loved that vacuum and genuinely mourned when it broke :crying:

I have a Dyson as well.  Works very well - got it when we had 2 large shedding dogs and 2 cats.  Now we have no dogs and 3 cats.  It is still going strong after... 8 years at this point.  Cost is a killer, though, I agree!

Dyson Animal bought at Costco. We have had it for 4 years and no complaints.

It's not the best quality-but even with a broken handle, it's much better than my Floormate or any of the other vacuums I've had in the past 5 years.  It sucks up hair and fuzz bunnies like nothing else!  I just have one carpeted room, 2 area rugs, and old hardwood floors, though.  I have a big dog and 5 cats.  I will say the only pitfall with this one is the shortish cord.

Yes, I recommend Eureka Cordless Vacuum. It is best for cleaning the pet hair. It is an affordable vacuum cleaner. It is 2 in 1 vacuum cleaner which can be convertible to hand or stick vacuum.

Out of my personal experience I would suggest Shark NV352 Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum. Your house shines in a less time with this best upright vacuum and it does a phenomenal job at removing dust and debris.
