Alice
I used FLL 1 and 2 for 1st and 2nd grade and MCT for 3rd and 4th grade with my oldest. He really loves MCT and I plan on continuing the next level with him. However, I’ve realized a weakness for him is punctuation/capitalization/mechanics. As much as I love the richness of MCT I do think that there are some gaps for kids who aren’t as strong writers. (Maybe I should also say we have used WWE and plan on using WWS beginning next year.) What would be a quick and easy supplemental grammar I could use that would help fill in the gaps? Ideally it would be fairly independent since MCT is so teacher intensive. And ideally it would be a fairly bare-bones, get it done kind of program. Thanks!
Guest
MP's new Grammar Recitation series comes to mind. It is as bare-bones as you can get. It is the rules and a bit of practice. http://www.memoriapress.com/curriculum/writing-and-english-grammar How about Editor in Chief by Critical Thinking Co? http://www.criticalthinking.com/editor-in-chief.html Maybe Evan-Moor might have something you could use? http://www.evan-moor.com/c/19/conventions-of-standard-english?specs=1405
SilverMoon
An Evan-Moor daily book and Daily Grams were the first options that popped into my head after reading your description.
SunnyDays
We add in Hake level 5... You can skip the writing if you want, and my son does the grammar book very independently.

Walking-Iris
I've used Editor In Chief and it would be really good for helping fill in those mechanics/punctuation gaps.
