luvbug in Ohio
I'm thinking about using this for my 5th grader, but I have one question that I can't find the answer to anywhere. In looking this over (both the teacher's manual and the student book), I don't see any type of schedule. I do note that there are 29 lessons, but I'm not sure how long I should expect those to take? Do they all vary? Or do they roughly equal a week per lesson? Am I finally losing it and looking right over any kind of time suggestion? :confused1: This will be different than anything we've ever used before, so I have no idea what to expect. I'll appreciate any thoughts on this. While I don't mind being a little flexible if plans change, I do prefer having a general schedule made up ahead of time. Thank you! happymomofboys
I didn't use Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons, but last year we did use Ancient History-Based Writing Lessons. In that book it was suggested that students move at their own pace through the book. From the student book: "In general Level A students (3rd to 5th grade) should write only one paragraph per week.... Level B students (6th through 8th grade) should be able to complete an entire lesson of up to three paragraphs per week."
