Guest sahmom24
Does anyone do this, and if so, how? We are almost finished with level 1 of PR. There's not much writing yet. We use TOG, so I've tried to use WA in the past, but it overwhelmed us. PR is great, TOG is great, and I'd like to have my daughters do some of the writing activities suggested by WA. Does PR begin teaching the things that WA does eventually?
WIS0320
I add Evan Moor Daily Trait 6 Writing for the grade level we are in, and this year I will be adding Writing Strands 3. So, we will use PR2 (we go slow, PR 2 was split over 2nd and 3rd grade) Evan Moor Daily Writing 3 and Writing Strands 3. We will also use MP's cursive copywork. bluemongoose
I use PR and TOG and WWE. I tried WA and while I think it is great for upper levels, I just didnt like it for lower levels. PR does really pick up after level 1. I did level 2 in one year and then wished I had split it into two years. I did split level 3. DD will finish the second half of PR3 this coming school year. It is a lot, but it works for us and she is learning a ton!
