shanvan
how much better a person can feel in new underwear & bra. I always wait to long to buy new undergarments and once I do I realize how ratty my old ones have gotten. Even my next 'newest' underthings were over 7 years old! Probably TMI, but I feel kinda silly slighting something so obvious.
FaithManor
I know, I know, I know...I'm just like you! I have a bra here that should be put to sleep, the poor thing....just put.it.out.of.its.misery. Dh offered to use it for target practice. However, I'm of a mind to make into a hat - ala "How to Train a Dragon" (his mother's breastplate made into a helmet) and give it to my middle son on his 16th birthday just to see the look on his face! :biggrinjester: But, I digress! I should really use your post as inspiration to go replace some long worn out underthings. Faith
Mom in High Heels
When we move back to the States next month, I'm getting all new unmentionables! The ones in Europe are sized weird and expensive for pretty stuff. I love new underthings! They make me feel sassy!

Do European women have a different anatomy? Please enlighten me!
sassenach
One date night dh confessed that he doesn't really care about lingerie, but sexy day to day wear really does it for him. So we spent the rest of our evening at Macy's picking out sexy, but wearable, undies. It was fun and has certainly paid dividends.
Mom in High Heels
I've heard this before and I don't get it? Do European women have a different anatomy? Please enlighten me! LOL, they don't have different anatomy, but I swear they don't have hips! Their stuff seems like it's made for boy shaped figures with no hips and no curves. :svengo: Also, their sizes make me feel bad. I wear a 38 or 40 in trousers! Who wants to say they wear a 38 or 40?????

Who wants to say they wear a 38 or 40????? I love using European sizes because no one around here knows what they mean! IN regards to getting new underthings, it's also amazing how much better clothing fits when it's worn over foundation garments that haven't given up on life ages ago. I think the bra I just threw out was one I purchased after I stopped wearing nursing bras. My younger dd is 13. Uh, yeah, it was time to pitch that one.... Ottakee
I need to do some shopping as well. I want practical and well fitting but yet nice looking. Hard part with undies is that I seem to be between sizes---1 size is too big and the other too small. You just can't go try them on either. More TMI, but I DO try on undies, however, I put them on over the undies I am wearing. If they are attached by those plastic thingies I pull them off (even if they are part of a 3 pack). If I am going to buy something I am going to make sure it fits. I always put them back on the hangers very neatly and you would never know they had been tried on just by looking. I just did this with a Jockey 3 pack. Glad I did b/c apparently even underwear can have vanity sizing. I had to go down a size. My mother was shocked. I told her I try on bathing suit bottoms, why wouldn't I try on underwear? With bras I take forever to find one that fits and I seem to be b/t sizes too. By the time I find any that fit me I feel like I have fought for them! I came home with 3 thinking I might return one b/c of the expense, but I kept them all. I just felt I had invested too much time. We won't discuss how many I tried on or how many times i had to get dressed to go back out and find the same bra in a size up or down. :glare: It's like shopping for a house! Dh was shocked at how long I was gone. He just has no idea....
