mathnmusic
We LOVE MEP and have used it since Reception. It's so puzzle-oriented that I heavily rely on having an answer key to check work, rather than figuring out the problems myself. But alas, there are no answers provided for level 4 and up, and the limited answers in the lesson plans aren't enough for me to quickly check work. How do you make it work? Wondering if there's a solution before giving up on MEP after level 3. Thanks in advance!
Rosie_0801
Have you asked on their yahoo group? I've a vague idea there are some somewhere. I haven't paid attention because we're only in Reception.
Pod's mum
I just go through and work them out. As I make dd go through two pages a day without any instruction, then my marking keeps me on track at how she is doing. When she has it wrong we work it out together (therefore I teach), and sometimes neither of us can work it out. Those we sometimes share with smart friends, who are also sometimes stumped. I'm fine with this, I figure these few really curly ones are the type that stretch us (both!). I used different programmes that had answer pages with elder dd and she or I marked them and without the working them out together it was much...less good. Particularly as she went up to higher levels.
kathkath
The answers are in the teacher pages
Stingyhag
Answer keys are under Teacher Support materials. They are password protected, and the password is CIMT4maths
mathnmusic
I asked on the yahoo group, and they also said limited answers are in the lesson plans. The "solutions" that I found under Teacher Support are for the 28 exercises in that same section, not for the problems in the student practice book. Maybe I'm missing something! I didn't see a password protected section for the answer key, would someone mind sending me the link to that page?
Stingyhag
I just looked closer. Yep, looks like lesson plans for up to year 6. I believe after that is where you run into the password protected stuff.
