Blueridge
Ladies, I need help/advice/support this morning. It is after 9AM and I am still sitting here with my laptop warming up my lap...reading the WTM board. Since confession is good for the soul, I guess I need to list positives and negatives of my addiction. Positives: I learn new things every day. :bigear: I feel as though I have found new friends. I feel smarter and valuable being around those new friends. :hurray: I admire the support and genuine compassion everyone here shares with others. :grouphug: It's just so darn much fun to sit in my quiet spot, alone, and play. :lurk5: Negatives: I use my entire morning reading all the fascinating stuff, instead of getting the girls up on time. ;) I am in summer mode and do not want school routines to begin. :seeya: Instead of taking my free time to pre-read my dd's school literature, I am staring at my computer and then looking at the clock...wondering how time flies so fast. I am feeling very old with the realization that I enjoy sitting like a slug...for hours on end... :nopity: Well, I guess that's all I have the energy to confess just now. Maybe I am just feeling embarrassed that I am still a squirmy little insignificant *larvae*! Is there any help for me? Y'all have a wonderfully blessed day! sadiegirl
I check out the boards more than I realize...I sometimes feel like it having your own personal shopper, movie reviewer, customer service rep, therapist, decorator, etc. Wow...and no cost to us all!!! Have a great day as well!
JFSinIL
Most days the Hive is the only adult contact I have (until hubby gets home in the evening.)
runningirl71
:lol: Welcome to the hive! You've been assimilated!!:lol: I know exactly what you're talking about! My older two kids were gone for 3 weeks {just got back this week} and so I had more time on my hands. I came here to "play" during the day. But, now that they are back, I'm on here less as we do have things to get done. Don't worry, you'll realize at some moment summer is over for you and you'll get into the swing of things! Enjoy your summer vacation from planning/teaching while you have it!:)
jacqui in mo
:lol: Welcome to the hive! You've been assimilated!!:lol: :) Yes, Resistance is futile. (Unless you find out that you really can get stuff done if you're not on the computer all day! ;o) Jacqui
autumndivona
Yeah, this is addicting. I found that I had to pick and choose what to read, and shorten my time spent from about 8 times a day, to 3. Heh heh. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner/right before bed. This is the problem with the various internet thingies - they ARE addictive!
LaMere Academy
I'm also getting addicted. And I think I'm one point away from FINALLY getting two green squares! Do you get them as soon as you get 100 rep points? I hope so.
jacqui in mo
Oh no! I'd rep you to find out, but I'm outta rep for the day. Bummer!

So shameful of me! Many thanks for showing me that I am not alone in my addiction. Now I am off to think of something valuable to share with everybody~:D
melissel
I'm right there with you. I managed to stay off the board for a few weeks at one point...but managed to attach myself to a new site, Orgjunkie.com (and a few of her friends too :glare:), so that didn't work out so well. Once we start school, I'm considering disconnecting our wireless router so I'm forced to go down to DH's computer to look anything up (such a pain). Can you use a blocking feature to block yourself until the addiction is broken, or at least until you can get a handle on it? On that note, I'm off to do some actual work. :leaving:

(Nevermind that I told myself I wasn't going to get on the boards today until I finished my book!!!!)

E_Edgerton
I think most of us are a little addicted to these boards....Maybe the boards could also act as our support group! :D
