danybug
I have been looking at the BOB Revolution SE double stroller. I have a little one due in October and I have a soon to be 3yo and a 6yo, who would be potential riders ;) It is just so fabulous when we tested it at REI, it was like pushing baby dolls and was so easy to close up. I know I want a double running stroller and I am going to utilize it as my everyday stroller as well. I just wanted to know if anyone has experience with one and if it is worth it. I have been checking Craigslist, but most people are still asking $400, which I feel like I my as well buy a new one at that point. Thoughts? Guest submarines
Nope, you aren't crazy for wanting one. You are only marginally crazy, in a good way, for getting one. I'd buy used, if it were me. I'll tell you what is crazy. My youngest is 5, and I can still drool over a BOB stroller.
school17777
It is worth it! However, if you plan to have more kids and think that you might want a double, I would get a Phil & Ted or Baby Jogger instead because you can had a second seat with a kit rather than needing to buy a double stroller. AndyJoy
If you are crazy, you can join the club with me! I just have a single, but I LOVE it and wish I'd bought it earlier. I got a random garage sale jogging stroller for $5 and used that for 2 years before it fell apart. Then I got an $80 new Baby Trend stroller that died after 6 mo. Then I got my BOB. It pushes SO much more nicely. I was doing Stroller Strides 3 times a week, and the difference it made was huge! Plus it folds much more quickly and compactly. My best friend who did Stroller Strides with me has a Phil and Ted's, and while the option of having it just be a single later is nice, the additional lower seat is not that roomy and her boys are on the small side. Keeping the little one from constantly kicking the bigger boy in the behind is one hassle she's had to deal with. As you've seen, BOBs have good resale value, so should you wish to downsize to the single later the used double should help with that! catz
We had a Baby Jogger and I think it's 100% worth it to have a high quality jogger. We used ours on hiking trails even - LOVED it. We had a single Baby Jogger and a 2 kid Burley stroller/bike trailer conversion.
GoVanGogh
I loved my Bob. Still miss it and it has been probably five years since I sold it. It really was the best baby purchase we made. I trained for a half marathon with it - would get up and nurse baby, strap sleeping baby in stroller and go out running. We got the off road one and took it hiking, to the zoo, etc.
snickerplum
My friend has one and loves it!! If you want an alternative, we loved our Jane Powertwin. :)
zoobie
Buy it new and resell it when you're done. Amazon had the best price on the single when I was buying. :)
danybug
Buy it new and resell it when you're done. Amazon had the best price on the single when I was buying. :) So far this is what I found and I figured why pay so much for a used one. I would rather shell out a little more and be able to resell myself. Thanks for all the replies! Maybe I am not crazy ;) We have had all kinds of other strollers through the years and they just end up being junk really. I could not get over how smooth and light the ride was with my 6yo and 2yo in it at the store today. It would be fabulous running. I just can't believe how much they are and that the snack tray is another $50 and there are fuzzy seat covers. What a racket ;)
